Friday Sadaqah Jariya
Friday is very significant and blessed day than any other day of the week. It is the day when people gather together to pray in congregation. Giving Sadaqah every Friday is a reminder for us to assist those who are less fortunate. Sadaqah can be a monetary donation with the intent to fund a bigger cause such as planting of fruit-bearing trees or the construction of a water pump. Friday Sadaqah enables us to sponsor many on-going needs.

Monthly Grocery Hamper
Monthly grocery hamper provides basic meals for a deserving family of 4. All food hampers contain non-perishable items as well as fresh fruits and vegetables that add nutrients which would otherwise be lacking. Food hamper contains basic items such as:
Oil, Tea, Rice, Peas, Flour, Sugar, Beans, Lentils, Dried milk.
Water Pump - Manual
Water is an essential component to human life. Millions of people in the poorest regions do not have access to clean drinking water. Children drink water from nearby ponds and lakes that is very un-hygienic and can impact their health. Many poor neighborhoods have the electricity but do not have the means to build or install electric water pump. Women and children walk for miles to fetch some water every single day. Solar water pump can be connected to a tank for storage to ensure consistent supply of fresh water throughout the day. Mini Business
It is our responsibility to look after the under-privileged citizens and widowed sisters who remain emotionally and financially vulnerable following the death of their spouse. Many of them have the skills and enthusiasm to generate income to support their children but do not have the means to put this into practice.
Our aim is to enable these deserving individuals start their own mini business so they can generate sustainable income to support their families. We have already sponsored few mini businesses that are currently in operation:

“Fidya” is a donation type within the Islamic tradition paid by individuals who cannot fulfill the obligation of fasting due to illness or old age. Fidya payments are meant to feed a miskeen (person in need) for each of the fasting days missed

Kaffara is paid by any adult Muslim who misses a fast or makes their fast invalid during Ramadan without a good reason and if they cannot fast at a later time for 60 continuous days.

Hadiya
It is a gift which a person gives out of goodwill to increase the bonds of friendship. It can be given either to a poor or a rich believing brother. If one gives it with the sincerity of intention of seeking the nearness of Allah (S.w.T.) it is one of the best forms of worship. Amir ul-Mu’minÄ«n ‘Ali (a.s.) has been reported to have said, “If I give something as a gift to my believing brother, I consider it preferable than giving it in Sadaqah.”
